The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia hosted a meeting between Tamila Mertskhulava the Presidenr of the CCI and a delegation from Germany headed by Wolfgang Matzke, the Representative of the CCI of the RA in Germany.

The delegation included Wolfgang Johann Hummel, Managing director of Alpha Industry Investment, Rene Scholz, a lawyer, member of the Association of Industry and Energy, Bettina Cornelia Schmidt, a journalist, Christian Valentin Barthel, a student of the Dresden Technical University.

During the meeting the parties discussed changes in the geopolitical situation in the world and its reflection on the economic situation in Abkhazia, the work of the CCI itself and its representative offices in foreign countries, including in Germany, as well as possible aspects of the development of trade and economic relations between the business communities of Abkhazia and Germany.

Tamila Mertskhulava noted the work of Wolfgang Matzke who held numerous presentations of the Republic of Abkhazia and Abkhazian products at various venues and meetings with entrepreneurs abroad in order to develop relations between the business communities of both countries.

"Thanks to the representative of the Chamber, visits to Abkhazia by German entrepreneurs become regular. More and more German citizens are learning about us," the President of the CCI stressed.

In a conversation with Tamila Mertskhulava, the guests discussed a number of topics related to entrepreneurship, as well as investment opportunities.

During the stay in Abkhazia the members of the delegation met with Beslan Eshba, the head of the Sukhum city Administration , Nodar Chanba, the head of the State Choral Chapel, David Terzyan, the head of the Chamber Orchestra , visited the museum of money of the National Bank of Abkhazia, Lake Ritsa and horse races dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45.
