The delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by its President Tamila Mertskhulava took part in a Meeting of Caucasian Culture organized with the assistance of cultural federations and the administration of Istanbul. The event which took place from February 29 to March 2 was attended by more than 25 Derneks representing people from the Caucasus in Turkey – Abkhazians, Alans, Adygs, Kabardins, Chechens, Circassians, Laz, Georgians and other nationalities living in Istanbul and nearby areas.

Among presented handicrafts there were national clothes, jewelry, crafts made of wood and clay, as well as national cuisine, including the Abkhazian restaurant "Sylashara", paintings and books by national writers in Turkish.
