On August 20, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia signed an Agreement on bilateral cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the Syrian Arab Republic. The document was signed within the framework of the participation of the CCI of the RA in the 59th International Fair in Damascus. The Republic of Abkhazia represented by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry became a participant of the exhibition due to the invitation of the Federation of Syrian Exporters, with which the CCI RA had earlier signed the Agreement on bilateral cooperation.

The agreement was signed in a solemn atmosphere by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia Gennady Gaguliya and the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the Syrian Arab Republic Mr. Mohamed Hasan Kalaa. After the signing of the Agreement, the leaders of both chambers discussed the prospects for further cooperation and the possibility of strengthening mutually beneficial economic ties.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged souvenirs.
