The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia Tamila Mertskhulava and Vice President Astamur Gaguliya held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic Bagrat Khutaba in the office of the Chamber.

In the near future, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia plans to open its representative office in Damascus, which will bring the trade and economic relations between the two countries to a new level. The representative office will display samples of Abkhaz products similar to those exported to the Russian Federation.

Bagrat Khutaba stressed that the negotiation process has become more accelerated and efficient with the opening of the Abkhaz Embassy in Syria, which makes it possible to provide targeted assistance to all interested and responsible departments in the development of bilateral relations. He also expressed his readiness to provide maximum assistance to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the integration of Abkhaz entrepreneurs into traditional associations for the purpose of trade and economic cooperation.
