Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the President of Nicaragua

Foreign Minister Daur Kove, his deputy Oleg Arshba, diplomatic agencies and staff arrived in the Republic of Nicaragua to attend the inauguration ceremony of the President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega .

The delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia, headed by Foreign Minister Daur Kove, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Arshba also includes employees of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia Madina Zukhba, Tengiz Tarba and Sariya Dzhopua. Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega issued an official decree recognizing the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia on 5 of September in 2008. Thus, Nicaragua became the first country after Russia recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. In the fall of 2009 between the two countries established diplomatic relations. Foreign Ministries of Abkhazia and Nicaragua also signed a protocol on holding regular consultations between providing for cooperation in the political, scientific, technical, environmental, humanitarian and cultural fields.
