A successful business event was held in Potsdam, Germany, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia in conjunction with the Economic Forum of Eastern Brandenburg. The event which took place at the venue of the branded watch manufacturer Askania was attended by about 40 German businesspeople representing key regions of the country – Brandenburg, Berlin, and Saxony.

A prominent figure of the evening was Carsten Christ who helds the positions of President of the Economic Forum and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Brandenburg (Frankfurt an der Oder). His participation underscored the serious interest of the German business community in establishing contacts with Abkhazia.

Wolfgang Matzke, the representative of the CCI of RA in Germany gave a presentation detailing the economic and investment potential of our republic.
In a conversation with Mr. Christ, concrete steps were outlined for developing cooperation between the Abkhazian CCI and the Economic Forum, which could open up new opportunities for Abkhazian-German business partnership.
