ABOUT ABKHAZIA IN POTSDAM

A presentation of the Republic of Abkhazia was held in the historic Dutch quarter in the center of Potsdam, in the restaurant "Zum Fliegenden Holländer" bringing together representatives of the German business community. The event was organized by a member of the Board of the international non-political and non-religious organization "Old Tablers Potsdam", Mr. Jörg Bauth who provided a platform for discussing the economic opportunities of Abkhazia.
The event was attended by Wolfgang Matzke, representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia in Germany, and Khibla Amichba, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in Germany.
During his speech, Wolfgang Matzke spoke in detail about the cultural heritage and key historical moments of Abkhazia from the early Christian period to the present. The main focus of the presentation was on the Republic's economic potential and investment opportunities. Then the representative of the CCI of RA answered the questions of the guests.
Khibla Amichba also focused on the current economic situation in Abkhazia and the Abkhaz-Russian relations.
The presentation included booklets and a film about Abkhazia in English prepared by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a catalog of coins and banknotes from the Bank of Abkhazia, books about the work of famous Abkhazian artists Valery Gamgia and Nugzar Logua, various samples of Abkhazian alcoholic beverages from limited liability companies "Wines and Beverage of Abkhazia", "Duripsh Winery", "Chateau Abhaz", adjika of "Abkhazproduct" and individual entrepreneur Gunda Kharaziya, as well as IP Irakli Buava pastila .
The participants of the presentation were able not only to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Abkhazian culture and the natural beauties of our republic, learn about its economic component, but also taste national wines and other gastronomic products.
According to the CCI, this event was another step towards strengthening economic ties and cultural exchange between Abkhazia and Germany, opening up new horizons for joint cooperation.
