Gennadiy Gaguliya was born on January 4 1948 in Lykhny, Republic of Abkhazia
1972 – graduated from Civil Engineering Department of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute majoring “construction engineer”. The following years he proved himself in the field of construction.
1977-1986 – the Deputy Director of Works Catering Lake “Riza”.
1986-1991 – the chairman of the Gudauta district consumer cooperatives.
1991-1995 - the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Abkhazia.
1995-1997 – adopted to fill the post of prime minister of the Republic of Abkhazia
1997-2002 – Russian Federation State Duma deputy aide
2002 – by a decree of the President is appointed to the post of the chair of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia
2002-2003 – appointed as prime minister for the second time
2003-2004 – appointed as the head of the Presidential administration of the Republic of Abkhazia
2004 to present – appointed as the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia and has remained in that position till the present day.
